These pipes are manufactured from virgin raw materials (grade PE 100 or PE 80 low-pressure polyethylene granules as defined in GOST 18599-2001). Unlike nonpressure PE pipes for sewer systems, these pipes can be delivered on reels in lengths of up to 200 m (given the diameter within 110mm and wall thickness greater than 8mm).

Industrial-purpose PE (low-pressure polyethylene) pipes
The industrial-purpose low-pressure polyethylene pipes are manufactured from secondary raw materials (recycled low-pressure polyethylene scrap) as defined in TU 2248-002-50930589-2005.
These pipes are mostly used for underground installation of cables and/or phone lines; they can also be used as a protective sheath or transportation channel for any (nonfood) liquid and/or bulk materials. Despite the use of secondary raw materials, such low-pressure polyethylene pipes are prized for their durability, flexibility, and chemical resistance.
The industrial-purpose low-pressure polyethylene pipes are not designed for transportation of liquids under pressure, so they can only be used in nonpressure (free-flow) systems.
Sewer PE pipe manufacture process
These pipes are manufactured using extrusion method. The process cycle includes the following operations:
1. Extrusion, that is, gradual pressing-out of polyethylene bulk.
2. Continuous feeding of pipe blank onto калибрующуюнасадку
3. Pipe formation in conformance with the preset template matrix.
4. Cooling of PE pipe.
5. Packaging and marking of PE pipes.
There are two types of sewer PE pipes:

Both types of PE pipes are used for installation of sewer systems, the only difference being the application conditions.
Installation of sewer PE pipes
For most installation companies, the simple installation process and short time required to lay sewer PE pipes is the biggest advantage.
It also bears mentioning that PE pipes are quite unpretentious in the context of indoor sewer system. In this case it is practically not necessary to use any special equipment.
Fittings for PE pipes
The outdoor installation of PE pipelines takes much less time than that of metal pipes. This is due to the PE pipes being joined using butt welding, which provides the following advantages:
– Consumption of materials is minimized;
– Number of welds is 5 times less as compared to metal pipes;
– As a consequence, the welding speed increases;
– The weld quality remains high nonetheless.
A bit of professional advice:
Sewer PE pipes can be installed in a conventional way, in trenches, as well as by laying them inside old metal pipelines.
These are the main technical characteristics of PE pipes. The last thing to be mentioned is that PE pipes are light-weight, offering the advantage of not using specialized hoisting equipment and, as a consequence, reducing the pipe installation costs.
